Journey into the darker side of the Shenandoah Valley through true stories, local legends, railroad tragedies, and tales of those said to have never quite left.

As the train travels through the landscape where many of these stories began, theatrical storytelling, folk music, suspense, and supernatural elements blur the line between history and legend.

Aboard the Virginia Scenic Railway, you’ll get a front-row seat to some of Virginia’s prettiest views, including the legendary Shenandoah Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Depending on the excursion you choose, you’ll roar through tunnels, speed over bridges, race past scenic fields and forests, and climb over mountains.
