Virginia Scenic Railway offers curated group experiences ideal for corporate outings, celebrations, reunions, and private events. Group reservations are available during select months of the year and vary by location to ensure the highest level of service and operational consistency.

To preserve the quality of regularly scheduled public excursions, group reservations are offered only during the following windows:

• January – May
• August – Mid-September
• Early November

Group bookings are not available during peak summer season, late fall foliage, or holiday trains. Group bookings are not available on our specialty trains (Sip & Savor, Ales & Rails, Murder on the Menu, etc.)

How does pricing work?

All tickets are subject to taxes and processing fees. Motorcoach and shuttle drivers ride for free. We offer personalized support through the group booking process. For further details, or to inquire about renting out an entire passenger car, please call 866-440-8356.

Cancellation policy for group bookings.

Cancellation requests must be received in writing. If your cancellation is received:

31 days or more before departure……….100% refund of payment, less $500 deposit

16-30 days before departure ……………….. 50% refund of payment, less $500 deposit

No refunds will be granted if the request is received fewer than 15 days before the excursion date.
